Bonneville
County Sheriff’s Office Applicant Testing Notice
The
Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office will conduct testing for applicants who are
interested in future positions in the following areas: Patrol Officer, Jail Detention, Court
Marshall, Court Detention Officer or Volunteer Reserves
**A LAW ENFORCEMENT APPLICATION IS
REQUIRED**
Written
tests for the above positions will be administered according to the following
schedule:

Basement of the
The
Law Enforcement (Patrol) testing is for Patrol Peace Officer, Court Marshal and
Volunteer Reserve positions. The
Corrections (Jail) testing is for Jail Detention Officer and Court Detention
Officer positions.
Written
test for Law Enforcement and Corrections positions measures the applicant’s
English language ability in the areas of:
reading, reading comprehension, memory retention and basic math
skills. THERE ARE NO STUDY MATERIALS FOR
THE WRITTEN TEST. Once the timed portion of the test has started, anyone who is
late will not be allowed to take the test during that testing period.
The
physical abilities test includes: an
approximate 440 yard obstacle course run, pushing, pulling, and lifting 80
pounds of weight and vaulting over a 3 foot high horizontal bar. Applicants must take separate written tests
for law enforcement and jail if they wish to be considered for both
positions. Applicants who score 60% or
better on the written test are eligible to take the physical abilities test on

testing will form an applicant pool for the coming year or until another test
is given. You must participate in this
testing if you wish to be considered for a Patrol, Jail, Court Marshall, Court
Detention or Reserve position with the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office.
