Payments may be made in cash, check, money orders.
Payments received after the due date are subject to a 2% late charge on the remaining balance. Interest begins to accrue January 1st.
Taxes are paid in arrears, therefore the taxes due on December 20th are for the respective year. Taxes due by June 20th are for the previous calendar year.
Important:
Business personal property and manufactured homes sold or moved must have the taxes pre-paid prior to the date of sale or removal. Please contact the Treasurer’s Office before selling or moving property.
Taxes must also be paid on businesses that close mid-year. As taxes are calculated based upon the status on January 1st of any given year, the full amount is not pro-rated but due in full.
If property is sold, moved or if a business in closed please contact the Assessor’s Office in order to help the keep as accurate and up-to-date information as possible.
Tax due dates:
Main roll – December 20th
Second or “subsequent” roll – January 20th
Third or “missed” roll – March 20th
A grace period of one-half of the taxes is provided for by Idaho Code.
Last day to pay second installment: June 20th
Note:
If the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday taxes are due the following business day.
Important:
Post Office cancellation marks are considered valid, however metered dates are not.

Follow the prompts for making your payment.
This service is provided by Official Payments, a third-party entity. The fee for the service is 2.75% of the payment amount. Minimum charge is $1. The amount of the fee will be given during the process of making a payment. For your information the county does not receive any portion of the fee, nor is there any cost to the county for this service.
Note: With some financial institutions a credit card can be run as a debit. To avoid this possibility please contact your financial institution.

New Tax Form!
You will notice a change in the look of the tax bill this year. The county will be utilizing a new process to handle payments and the new form is designed to accommodate the new procedure. This program will provide greater efficiency and has been used in other counties with great success.
