Step 1 – A voting demonstration is given for all voters as they enter the polling place. If you have any questions concerning the voting process, the demonstration clerk will answer them for you.
Step 2 – To request a ballot, state your name and current address and sign the poll book.
Step 3 - Insert the ballot card (printed side facing up) all the way into the votomatic until it stops.

IMPORTANT!
Step 4 - Make sure that the red tabs are through the holes on your ballot card. This aligns the punching holes with the punch card positions for your candidates.

Step 5 - To vote, hold the stylus vertically. Punch the stylus straight down through the ballot card for the candidates or issues of your choice. If it reads “VOTE FOR ONE” voting for two or more will invalidate your vote!

Step 6 – You may vote for any or all of the issues and races that apply to you.

Step 7 - Remove your ballot card.

Step 8 - Check the ballot card to be certain all holes are completely punched through. Remove any loose chads.

Step 9 - If a mistake was made, return your ballot to the Chief Judge and receive a new one.
Step 10 – If you have a valid write-in, put it on the gray secrecy envelope.

Step 11 - Replace the voted ballot in the gray secrecy envelope and give it to the receiving clerk at the end of the table.
